Networking can seem daunting but it is no scary thing! However, there are certain networking etiquette tips that will help you stand out in a crowd or separate you from others competing for the same position. In this assignment, you will identify

A Few Tips on Networking Etiquette

  • Be prepared for the person you’re meeting with
  • Value your network, don’t just connect with anyone
  • If you ask someone to coffee, you pay for it
  • Be respectful of the person’s time
  • Make meaningful introductions
  • Seek first to understand, then to be understood
  • Be clear as to what you’re looking to accomplish, and communicate that
  • Consider what you can do for them
  • Follow through with any commitments you make
