A Few Tips on Networking Etiquette
- Be prepared for the person you’re meeting with
- Value your network, don’t just connect with anyone
- If you ask someone to coffee, you pay for it
- Be respectful of the person’s time
- Make meaningful introductions
- Seek first to understand, then to be understood
- Be clear as to what you’re looking to accomplish, and communicate that
- Consider what you can do for them
- Follow through with any commitments you make
